FRIDAY’S PREP GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: League champion North Muskegon ties Ludington, still undefeated in West Michigan League over four years


LUDINGTON, Mich. – North Muskegon’s seniors will never know defeat when it comes to the West Michigan League girls soccer world.

The Norse picked up a rare draw in the final West Michigan League contest of the season, finishing in a 0-0 tie with host Ludington. North Muskegon finishes 9-0-1 in league play and are 13-2-1 overall on the campaign.


From 2021 through this 2024 season, North Muskegon is 33-0-2 in WML games.

Emma Lamiman, an All-League honorable Mention choice last season, picked up the shutout for North Muskegon, the team’s seventh clean sheet of the season.

The Norse hold a 69-16 scoring edge this season with the losses coming against Division 2 top-ranked Spring Lake (4-0) and Division 4 No. 2-ranked Royal Oak Shrine (3-1). North Muskegon is ranked third in Division 4.


Overall, the Norse have a combined 66-11-4 record over four seasons. North Muskegon has outscored the opposition 338-53 with 51 shutouts from 2021-2024.

Cambria Britton notched 28 saves for Ludington (6-7-4, 6-0-4), which finishes second in the league this season.  The Orioles finished with 22 points, trailing only North Muskegon’s 28 total points.
