PREP GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Adams drenches Clarkston: Herrell notches hattrick in Lamphere’s win: Belleville, Milford posts key victories

ROCHESTER HILLS – Not even a steady downpour could deter Rochester Adams Tuesday night.

The Highlanders scored early and often in taking down visiting Clarkston 6-0 in an OAA crossover victory.

Adams (2-0-0) scored four first-half goals and tacked on two others after halftime to blank Clarkston, which defeated Adams 2-1 last April.

Danielle Danko had a goal and an assist to lead the Highlanders. Maya Orlowski, Evelyn Kekhoua, Addy Angel and Yohanna Wang also tallied for Adams, while Sadie Rogers and Julianna Zobrist drew assists in the six-goal outburst.

Alexa Calcamuggio notched the shutout for the Highlanders. Adams has now outscored the opposition 8-0 this season, already having defeated Detroit Country Day 2-0 before spring break.

MADISON HEIGHTS LAMPHERE 8, AUBURN HILLS AVONDALE 0: The Rachel Vickers era began with a win, as the new Lamphere coach saw her Rams cruise Tuesday to the non-league win. Allison Herrell notched the hattrick, while Kylie Landstrom, Faith Stinson, Emma Malkowski, Evelyn Richard and Sophia Musket also tallied for the Rams (1-0-0).

BELLEVILLE 3, LIVONIA STEVENSON 1: Defending KLAA East Division champion Belleville got the upper hand in the league race with this victory Tuesday in the league opener. MacKenzie Simpson recorded the brace and Chloe Abney added the other goal for the Tigers. Addy Turik gained the win between the pipes for Belleville (1-0-0, 1-0-0 KLAA-East). Stevenson slipped to 1-1-0 overall and in the league.

MILFORD 8, FARMINGTON 0: Ava Warner and Riley Mitchell both finished with hat tricks and assisted on one goal as the Mavericks cruised to the non-conference win. Camryn Bladzik and Allison Deep added a goal and an assist apiece for Milford, while Rylee Felton and Ani Linson also picked up assists for the Mavericks (1-0-0) in their season opener.

TROY ATHENS 4, ROYAL OAK 0: Lauren DeJonckheere scored a goal and assisted on two others to lead Athens to the non-league win. Emily Mendrick added a goal and an assist, Sydney McBride and Emily Hendrick also scored and Lulu Thaqi drew an assist for the Red Hawks (1-0-0) in their season opener. It was the first career win for coach Jason Clark, who took over the program in February.

LIVONIA CHURCHILL 1, LIVONIA FRANKLIN 1: These two KLAA East Division and city rivals settled nothing on the soccer pitch Tuesday. Averi Collins scored for Churchill (0-0-1, 0-0-1). Emma Nichols scored for Franklin (0-0-1, 0-0-1).
