Teams from all over Oakland Athletics Association traveled to Troy Athens High School on Friday August 12, 2022 to talk about their upcoming 2022 Fall Season. In attendance were schools from the Red, White and Blue Divisions. Rochester, West Bloomfield, Avondale, Pontiac, Oak Park, Lake Orion, Clarkston, Stoney Creek, Berkley, Troy High and Athens. Each school had 3-5 minutes to talk about their upcoming season, talk about key players and take questions from the Michigan Soccer Network and members from the local media.

This event was the first of its kind for Boys Soccer in Oakland County, as in years past the only media attention Boys Soccer received was from pre-season previews written by the media. "High School Football and other sports have held media days in the past and I felt that with the progress MSN has made over the past year with our livestream coverage that we could do more for these young men and schools", said Jonathan Turner Director of Broadcasting for the Michigan Soccer Network. Soccer in Michigan needs more coverage, it deserves more coverage and the Michigan Soccer Network is committed to doing whatever it takes to help create more exposure for the game of soccer.

As part of the media coverage for high school soccer in Michigan, MSN traveled to tryouts this past week to showcase teams. players and coaches for the upcoming fall season.

On Monday August 8th, MSN traveled to Troy High School to preview Troy High School who went 18-4-1 last season winning the OAA RED and their only loss of the season coming to Anchor Bay in the Regional Finals. Troy returns 14 players and 8 starters and should compete for another league title as well as the ultimate prize a state championship. Troy Opens their season on August 17th agains Ann Arbor Skyline

On Wednesday MSN traveled to Okemos to cover the defending MHSAA Division 1 State Champions from last year. Okemos lost 9 players from their 20-0-4 undefeated team who beat Anchor Bay 2-1 in the State Finals.
