MONDAY’S PREP GIRLS SOCCER ROUNDUP: Midland Dow blanks Mt. Pleasant; St. Catherine cruises past Woods-Tower


MIDLAND, Mich, -- Midland Dow remained unbeaten on the year and the Chargers blanked visiting Mt. Pleasant 3-0 Monday night in Saginaw Valley League play.


Aubree Bills, Rachel Leuter and Carley Gatrell scored for Dow (4-0-1, 3-0-0). Melanie Kolnitys assisted on two goals, Ivy Beall provided an assist and Avery Lehman notched three saves in goal for the clean sheet.


The Oilers slipped to 2-3-1 overall and 1-2-0 in the SVL.


WIXOM ST. CATHERINE OF SIENA 7, WARREN WOODS-TOWER 0: Joanna Namel was a one woman wrecking crew Monday as she scored five goals in the non-conference win for the Stars (3-2-0). Harlo Ylen and Kendall Kufta also scored, Lauren Heldke and Regan Burke picked up two assists apiece, Lauren Danjou, Gia Jiddou and Gabby Said had single assists and Fiona O’Neill had a pair of saves to record the shutout in goal. Namel has 14 goals on the young season for St. Catherine of Siena.


UTICA EISENHOWER 1, ROCHESTER ADAMS 1: A pair of state-ranked sides from nearby power conferences squared off and walked off the pitch with this non-league draw. Ellera Jakubowski scored the lone goal off an assist from Ava Dukaj in the first half for Eisenhower (2-1-1). Sadie Rogers scored off a cross from Maya Orlowski for Adams (5-1-2).


CLARKSTON 4, ROMEO 3: Lexi Meier, Samantha Sackfield and Julia Sandoval scored for Romeo and Katie Pollzzie had an assist for the Bulldogs.


SAUGATUCK 1, HOLLAND BLACK RIVER ACADEMY 1: Avery Smith converted a Neave Rewa cornerkick in the first half for Saugatuck (2-2-2, 0-0-1) in the Southwestern Athletic Conference Lakeshore Division game. Ella Sligh converted a penalty kick in the 61st minute to tie the game for Black River (0-0-3, 0-0-1).
